ARTICLE 171 - Honduran Constitution
The State provided education will be free. Basic education will be compulsory and fully paid for by the State. The State shall establish the mechanisms to make this provision effective.
ARTICLE 26.1 - Universal Declaration of Human Rights
Everyone has the right to education. Education shall be free, at least in the elementary and fundamental stages. Elementary education shall be compulsory. Technical and professional education shall be made generally available and higher education shall be equally accessible to all on the basis of merit.
ARTICULO 171 - Constitución de Honduras
La educación impartida oficialmente será gratuita y la básica será además, obligatoria y totalmente costeada por el Estado. El Estado establecerá los mecanismos de compulsión para hacer efectiva esta disposición.
ARTICULO 26.1 - Declaración Universal de los Derechos Humanos
Toda persona tiene derecho a la educación. La educación debe ser gratuita, al menos en lo concerniente a la instrucción elemental y fundamental. La instrucción elemental será obligatoria. La instrucción técnica y profesional habrá de ser generalizada; el acceso a los estudios superiores será igual para todos, en función de los méritos respectivos.

All Data shown here is publicly available. The census data was extracted on December 2020 from the Honduran National Institute for Statistics (INE) . The majority of indicators were extracted from The Humanitarian Data Exchange on December 2020 where a large part was based on the estimates computed by Robert Barro and Jong-Wha Lee.

Todos los datos que se muestran aquí están a disposición del público. Los datos del censo fueron extraídos en diciembre de 2020 del Instituto Nacional de Estadística Hondureño (INE). La mayoría de los indicadores se extrajeron del Sistema de Intercambio de Datos Humanitarios ("The Humanitarian Data Exchange") en diciembre de 2020, donde una gran parte fueron gracias al trabajo de Robert Barro y Jong-Wha Lee.
